Devlog #3 (January 2020 Update)


Hello~

I opened up for character commissions in early January, so if you're interested, here's a link to my commission info [x]. If there's a style of mine you've seen that I don't have rates for, feel free to email me and ask about it! I can give you a price quote. I've also released Valentine cards of all the characters in my other game, Froot Basket Valentine! You can download those cards from here [x]! I'll make Valentine cards for Sid, Basil, and Kagami too c:

Anyway, here's the breakdown so far for progress on Sidney's Route:

OUTLINE 100% COMPLETE

WRITING - 20%

I'm so happy! I think I've made a lot of progress with the writing this month! Much like drawing, writing goes through a lot of drafts before you feel comfortable with leaving it as is, and I feel I'm at that point with what I have written so far for Sid's route. I've got one whole week after the common route down~! I'll get started on coding what I've got written, but other than that, three more weeks of Sid's route to go...


CODING/PROGRAMMING - 5% 

I've started coding what I've written for Sid's route! It includes coding the expressions and sprites and the points you earn from each interaction/choice. I also play-test while I code because I'm a pretty visual person, so it takes a while. 


CG/ARTWORK - 0% (0/6 complete)

I've actually been HIGHLY considering redoing Sidney and Basil's sprites, BUT I'll... just save that until after I've finished writing everyone's routes and drawing their CGs haha... Anyway, my process for thumbnailing CGs occurs both in a physical sketchbook and on my drawing program, Clip Studio Paint. Here's a few previews of the sketches I've made so far:
